King in the Ring returned on Saturday, July 18, to a sold-out audience at Auckland's Eventfinda Stadium, for the third iteration of the Super Middleweight, eight-man eliminator tournament.

Former 72kg KitR champion Blood Diamond returned to form, defeating Terrence Montgomerey in the tournament final to once again become the King in the Ring. On his path to the final, Diamond showcased his unique style, defeating Mike Kapi by TKO in the quarter-finals before beating Welterweight King in the Ring Arshia Ebadi by decision in the semi-finals.
